Word is Bel Ami ,starring Robert Pattinson, Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas, will not only have its world premiere at the 62nd Berlin Film Festival—a clip of the film will air before the premiere date of February 17, during the Festival run itself.Only hours ago, Hopscotch Films, the film distributor for Bel Ami in Australia tweeted that the "1st clip" from Bel Ami, "will be launched during the Berlin Int'l Film festival, prior to its premiere there on Feb 17." Promising "more info soon," the news from Hopscotch is sure to excite Pattinson fans and movie critics as the buzz for Bel Ami's release builds. No dates have been released yet as to when the clip will actually air, but it will be between February 9-19.
The film, based on Guy de Maupassant's novel about an impoverished, former soldier in nineteenth century Paris sleeping his way through Parisian society, was recently given a 15 rating by both the British Board of Film Classification for containing "strong sex," and a 16 rating by Ireland's Film Classification Office for "strong la
nguage" and "strong sex and nudity."
