E! Confirms Robert Pattinson Will Not Attend MTV Awards

E! Online's Marc Malkin tweeted the following sad information today:

confirmed: #RobertPattinson's rep jsut confirmed to me that he will NOT be at MTV Movie Awards because he'll be out promoting#Cosmopolis.

I'm still holding out hope that when Kristen takes the stage to receive the Best Kiss award, Rob will come sneaking around the corner and surprise everyone. Twilight has a big history with the MTV Awards and the show is famous for trying to surprise the fans with something every year so you never know.

A girl can dream, right?
